Michael Rubin
Michael Rubin is a twice Emmy nominated composer and lyricist who has written and produced music for numerous film, television, and record projects. He is the creative director and owner of Murmur Music Inc. founded in 1993. At Murmur Music, Michael has created music and sound design for Nickelodeon, Noggin, Disney, Viacom, PBS, Paramount Pictures, VH1, AMC, The Food Network, AT&T, Bell South, Citibank, Motorola, Samsung, UPS, Coca-Cola, General Motors, Maxwell House, Nabisco, Volvo, American Express, Merck, Kraft, Fisher-Price and more.
Currently, Michael has several projects in development, as well as the first season of a new show for Nick Jr due to air at the end of the year. He has composed and produced music for Noggin’s breakout hit Jack’s Big Music Show and wrote The Mousketer Song for Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
With Murmur Music and writing partner Nick Balaban, Michael created all the music and sound design, and handled all audio post-production for Nick Jr’s Blue's Clues, one of the most watched and successful preschool television shows ever. Michael’s songs have been performed by Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray, Randy Travis, India.Arie, Toni Braxton, Phoebe Snow, The Persuasions, and others.
